When you hear the word yoga your mind may automatically think of an image of a thin flexible person creating seemingly impossible shapes with their body. 

You may even get understandably intimidated or say to yourself "I can't do yoga, I'm not flexible. I promise you, yoga is not what you see on social media. The true meaning of yoga is simply "union". Since our goal is to unite our whole self, it's a perfect way to connect to your shadow side. 


When our body takes on too much stress it puts us in a state of dis-ease. Once you add current stress with past traumas, you can wreak havoc on your physical health. Yoga can give you the boost and confidence you need to take your shadow side head on. 


One of the most amazing benefits of yoga is the strengthening of your nervous system. When you have a strong nervous system, it is easier to take a pause, a breath and be with the shadow so you can metabolize the bad feeling emotions.
